Before I was a strategist, I was a storyteller.
And before that? I was elbows-deep in garden soil, curriculum binders, yoga mats, and photography gear—because my path to marketing didn’t follow a straight line. It followed a pulse.
As a teen, I travelled and volunteered across Canada. That’s when I picked up a camera. What started as a creative outlet became a tool for connection and transformation. I captured birth stories, small business launches, community events, and quiet everyday magic. Photography taught me to look closer—to see the beauty in people’s stories and the power in their truth.
I’ve stood in front of classrooms and community centres teaching families how to grow their own food, build food security, and reclaim lost knowledge that lives in our bones. I designed hands-on workshops for seed-saving, fermentation, canning, and cooking programs that weren’t just about nourishment, but empowerment. We weren’t just preserving harvests, we were preserving dignity.
Along the way, I also became a trained yoga teacher. Yoga deepened my understanding of presence, embodiment, and alignment in both movement and mindset. It reminded me that clarity doesn’t just come from action—it comes from stillness, too.
Then came pin up—a world where storytelling and self-expression met like old friends. What began as vintage-stylized shoots and car shows turned into a movement. I created True North Pin Up Magazine–now Canada’s only national publication of its kind–to amplify voices, celebrate bodies of all kinds, and build community through shared identity, nostalgia, and strength. It wasn’t just about lipstick and lashes, it was about women remembering they were never too much, and always enough.
All of these moments on farms, in workshops, behind the lens, on magazine covers, and on the mat were about clarity. About helping people see themselves again and step into something bigger. About holding up a mirror so people could see themselves clearly, maybe for the first time in a long time. About reminding them their story matters—not just as a memory, but as a map. And about giving them the language, the strategy, and the soul-deep permission to step into something bigger, bolder, and more beautifully theirs.
That passion became precision when I went back to school as a single mom, determined to build a life that matched my purpose. I earned a double diploma in Digital Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communications, and every late-night cram session and scholarship application paid off.
Since then, I’ve gone from grassroots programming to regional marketing strategy. I’ve built campaigns that generate real-world economic impact. I’ve helped entire communities tell their stories–and helped individuals find the words for their next bold chapter.
Because no matter the medium, I’ve always done the same thing:
help people show up with clarity, confidence, and direction.
